Java Houses - where Art is Made

Napa Valley Coffee Roasting Company in Napa was my hangout (still is when I'm in Napa) since 1988.  Local artists hung out there, sipped the best java in the valley, talked about upcoming exhibitions, wrote poems, recited them, and for me, I simply enjoyed going into this incredible space and meeting up with friends.  I could write volumns about this place and in fact have written often sitting at the round marble table with my feet propped on a bentwood chair right where the fellow is writing on his laptop.

Speaking of coffee houses, well, this really isn't just a coffee house, it's a place to get great food, excellent service and free wifi all with a good cuppa java. Panera Bread! I'm fortunate to live close to the store on the corner of Del Paso and East Commerce in Natomas, Sacramento.

My daughter, Mimi T. and I went there for lunch yesterday and since we both work in our hi tech biz, we brought our laptops. The place was buzzing with activity around 12:30 pm.

Check it out - and maybe we'll meet up there.
