Techie Chicks, Java City & Five on Friday in Sacramento

Hanging out at Wifi coffee shops is one thing I totally dig - as does my daughter, Mimi T.  She and I often have a work/fun meet up at Panera Bread in Sacramento, working and noshing - great combo, by the way.

Mimi T.'s specialty is Pay Per Click Advertising along with Website Directory Research & Submissions - one could say she is definitely a techie chick, which brings up the subject of women and technology.

Side note: I'm an artist and a biz woman in love with technology, have been buying domains as a hobby for awhile now, and the hobby has turned into another biz.  Blogs and also built out my first website designed for mobile phones.  The address ends with .mobi, indicating mobile, rather than with .com.  The theme of the site is Techie Chicks.

Wifi coffee shops - Art, Java, Techie Chicks, what else?  Natural Progression is to have a blog for techie chicks - so there you have it!  The first entry is entitled,
"Yes, Viktorya, there is a Ms. Santa Clause and she's a techie chick!"  Check it out - Techie Chicks Blog

The sketch in the header is one I did a few years ago - she is called "YO" and I've used her for Art Exhibition Announcement Cards, a logo, and now want to explore putting her on t-shirts and coffee mugs.  Would like some serious feedback on this - the blog offers this aspect of social networking like none other I've experienced.

She needs all those hands for multi-tasking and clicking keys on the computer - please note - coffee cup and saucer on the lower left of her java coat.   So there it is - Art, Java & Techie Chicks.

Also, I forgot to mention the part about Java City and Five on Friday - I get side tracked way too easy.

Being working women, Five on Friday has a special connotation - freedom!!!! Yesterday, at Five on Friday, these teckie chicks, Mimi T. and I were strolling around Old Sacramento, enjoying the commercialism of Christmas juxtaposed against scenes set up like from a Charles Dickens Novel.

That was after getting a shot of espresso from Java City on 18th street in Sacramento. The shoppe was quiet and Mimi T. and I decided we would frequent this place more often as they too have free wifi. Oh, and about Five on Friday? I bought that domain too! hehe.
