Art n Java 1st movie

This is my first video attempt with a greeting from me about my passion for art n java.  My goal is to post small videos that are 'how to' for painters.  Yeah, in my spare time, right?  Oh well, we all need goals and that is just one of many on my long list.    The paintings below are progress shots of the small painting that I"m working on today, and that is hanging on the wall behind me in the video.

The subject of this little painting is an homage to 1950's rock n roll that I listened to and danced to as a teenager in South Dakota.   You can't ever take that music out of this woman, because I still love that rock n roll.

I had sketched this piece when I was working on a series of Quirky Teapots for a gallery show in Napa CA.  Life is good today and all days when I'm in my La Lolet Studio.  (Thanks Jenny for the name La Lolet - it's perfect!)

This is another progress photo after working on the piece today.  I kind of like the direction it is heading and just hope I can hang on to that ponytail to enjoy the ride.   Cheers!
